Expression of Interest Part-time Clerk (eTwinning)

The Ministry for Education and Employment notifies that applications are being received from interested persons willing to provide services on a Contract for Service basis as a part-time clerk for the period February, 2018 to August, 2018, with the possibility of renewal. 

Applicants will be required for 28 hours of service per week between 8.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. at the rate of €6.50 per hour (excluding VAT). 

Responsibilities of the part-time clerk (eTwinning):

Dealing with emails and correspondence;
Responding to enquiries related to eTwinning;
Providing book-keeping and basic accounting procedures, bank reconciliation, etc.;
Prepare bank deposits and payments;
Transactions through internet banking;
Booking of flights, transfers, venues, etc.;
General office related duties; 
Ordering of stationery/supplies (eTwinning gadgets);
Assisting in the organisation and logistics of professional development workshops, events and seminars;
Compiling of data and using spreadsheets;
Any other related duties, which may arise from time to time as instructed by the eTwinning coordinator.


(i) be in possession of MATSEC Matriculation/SEC (Grades 1-5), and/or GCE Certificates (minimum ‘C’ Grade), showing passes at ordinary level in Maltese, English Language, Mathematics and Accounts and at least another subject, or a recognised appropriate comparable qualification; and

(ii) be in possession of the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or an appropriate recognised comparable qualification.

Preference will be given to applicants in possession of an Advanced Level in Accounting, and/or Secretarial Qualification and/or proven experience in a secretarial/clerical position. 

Eligible applicants will be required to sit for an interview and are to bring their original certificates with them, as well as a valid Police conduct certificate.
