Concession for the Design, Build and Operation of Motor Recreation and Education Park
 
The Privatisation Unit (‘PU’), acting on behalf of the Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth and Sport, is issuing a public Expression of Interest (EOI) in connection with the Concession for the Design, Build and Operation of Motor Recreation and Education Park.
The PU is inviting submissions for the EOI from reputable persons and/or entities with the necessary experience and resources to undertake such task.
 
In the first instance, interested parties are invited to communicate with the PU, at the email address shown below, expressing their interest to undertake the task. Once this initial communication takes place, the PU will forward a process letter inviting interested parties to collect the EOI document. The process letter will explain the procedure to be followed for the collection of the EOI document and submission of the Proposal.

Expression of Interest for Occupational Therapist and Speech Language Pathologist
 
Ministry for Education and Employment is embarking on a project aimed at offering children further support with their educational requirements, in a child-centred approach. Initially the project will be piloted in specified localities.
For this reason, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Education and Employment, notifies that he will receive applications from interested individuals who are willing to perform duties as Occupational Therapist and Speech Language Pathologist on a ‘Contract for Service’ basis for a period of one year.
 
1. Occupational Therapist will be required to plan and deliver a child-centred Occupational therapy service to children in schools and the community. These sessions will be carried out at the Early Intervention Unit at Hamrun, schools and home visits.
 
2. Speech Language Pathologist will be required to provide clinical services with regard to Speech Language Therapy. Assess and treat children with communication problems in schools and the community. 
 
Interested individuals must satisfy the following requirements:
 
(i) Must be able to communicate in both Maltese and English;
 
Category A – Occupational Therapist
 
(i) The candidate must be in a possession of a Diploma/or a Degree in Occupational Therapy;
 
(ii) in possession of a Warrant issued by the Council for Professions Complementary To Medicine, to practice the Profession of Occupational Therapist in Malta;
 
Category B – Speech Language Therapist
 
(iii) The candidate must be in a possession of a Diploma/or a Degree in Speech Language Pathology;
 
(iv) in possession of a Warrant issued by the Council for Professions Complementary To Medicine, to practice the Profession of Speech Language Pathology in Malta;
 
Successful individuals are expected to work up to 40 hours per week and will be given the necessary training in order to carry out their duties.

For this reason, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Education and Employment, notifies that he will receive applications from interested individuals who are willing to perform duties as Psychologists/Psychologist Assistants on a ‘Contract for Service’ basis for a period of one year.
 
Psychologists/Psychologists Assistants will be required to administer questionnaires to parents and to observe and follow-up young children to identify needs in communication, social and learning skills. These sessions will be carried out at the School Psychology Services at Ħamrun.
 
Interested individuals must satisfy the following requirements:
 
(i) Must be able to communicate in both Maltese and English;
(ii) Preferably have training and /or experience in working with children and/or adolescents;
 
Category A - Psychologists
 
(i) in possession of a Warrant issued by the Malta Psychology Profession Board, to practice the Profession of Psychology in Malta;
 
Category B – Psychology Assistants
 
(i) Candidates who are in possession of a Masters Degree (MQF Level 7) in psychology but who are still awaiting to be warranted. Provided that their academic training is acknowledged by the Malta Psychology Profession Board as suitable to qualify a person for a warrant to Practice the Profession of Psychology in Malta after the prescribed period of supervised practice is completed.
 
Category C – Psychology Assistants
 
(ii) (a) in possession of a Bachelors Degree (Hons)  in Psychology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised University or Institution or will be graduating by end of 2015;
 
Successful individuals are expected to work up to 40 hours per week and will be given the necessary training in order to carry out their duties.

(ii) Must have a background in psychology or are presently studying psychology and are in the  final year of their bachelors degree;
 
Successful individuals are expected to work up to 10 hours per week for the first two months and up to 20 hours per week from the third month onwards and will be given the necessary training in order to carry out their duties.
