The building known as “It-Torri l-Abjad” has been devolved to the Mellieħa Local Council in virtue of the Local Councils Act (Cap. 363) and the Disposal of Government Land Act (Cap. 268).
 
The Mellieħa Local Council is hereby issuing a call of interest to non-governmental organisations engaged in voluntary services, in line with the Act regulating voluntary organisations and their administration (Cap. 492), in order to submit their proposals and ideas regarding the use of this site.
 
The site should be maintained in a good state of repair subsequent to restoration by the applicant, due to its notable historical importance.
 
For this reason, those interested are kindly requested to submit a report, even a non-technical one, in order for the Mellieħa Local Council to be able to evaluate and decide on every proposal in an entirely transparent manner.
