Foundation for Information Technology Accessibility
 
FITA Accessibilty APP
 
This project is being carried out in collaboration with the Foundation for Information Technology Accessibility, The National Commission Persons with Disability and The Vodafone Malta Foundation.
 
1) Requirements:
 
a) The design of an APP which will be required to run on tablets and smartphones running the Android OS.
 
b) The development and deployment (on the relevant online market platform) of the APP as per item (1a) above.
 
c) The APP will meet or exceed specifications set out in the design document compiled by FITA. This may be accessed at (www.fitamalta.eu).
 
2) Financial Requirements:
 
a) Quotations must be submitted in Euros, inclusive of VAT.
 
b) All costs items must be listed and quoted for separately.
 
3) Description of Services:
 
a) The full set of deliverables under this call includes, the finalised design and development of an Android based APP. This APP will establish two way communication with existing web services in order to make regular updates to user editable content.
 
b) The end deliverable must include technical and user documentation about the use and maintenance of the product.
 
c) Offers may relate to either item (1a), (1b) or both. The minimum specifications are outlined in the design document compiled by FITA and accessible at (www.fitamalta.eu).
 
d) Bidders may wish to differentiate themselves by identifying additional features and services, which they can provide. In all cases, cost items must be identified individually, in order not to penalise any one bid.
 
4) Terms and Conditions:
 
a) In carrying out his/her obligations in pursuance of this contract, the tenderer shall ensure the application of the principle of equal opportunities for disabled people and shall thus inter alia refrain from discriminating on the grounds of disability.
 
b) Previous experience in completing and delivering related or similar projects is not mandatory but will be considered a positive asset during the adjudication process. Bidders are required to submit the following details together with their offer.
i) Years the bidder has been working in the ICT sector;
 
ii) Number of persons who will be allocated to the project together with their role and location;
 
iii) List and description of their similar or related projects together with relevant demos or online links.
