At the eGovernment Services Department, MITA is responsible for delivering those shared ICT services which the Government builds upon to digitalise the provision of services to citizens, residents of Malta and cross-border users from other European Member States.


MITAʼs portfolio includes the eID, Workflow Automation, electronic Payment Gateway, SMS Notifications Gateway and Website Content Management tools used for local eGovernment services, the eIDAS Node and Single Digital Gateway used for cross-border services, and the HR and Financial packages used corporately within Government.


For the provision of these services, MITA uses the latest Hybrid Cloud technology coupled with cutting edge systems in every sector in which it operates.  MITA increasingly adopts Agile methods for managing in-house software development while ensuring the resilience of the architectures it designs and builds.

The successful candidate will be expected to hold either of the following set of qualifications and/or experience:


i) An ICT related qualification MQF Level 5 or higher, in which case experience is not necessary; OR


ii) An ICT related qualification MQF Level 4, together with one-year experience in a related area; OR


iii) Two years' experience in a related area.


Fresh graduates may be offered an employment opportunity subject to the provision of final results.


Candidates' qualifications, experience and competencies will be assessed in line with the Agency's Career Progression framework. Successful candidates may be engaged at either the Associate Level – Career Level 2, the Standard Level – Career Level 3 or the Senior Level – Career Level 4.
