Amendment to Local Notice to Mariners No. 20 of 2024 regarding swimming event around St Paul's Island 

Reference is made to Local Notice to Mariners No. 20 of 2024

The Ports and Yachting Directorate, Transport Malta, notifies mariners and owners of vessels that the swimming event around St Paul's Island is going to be held on Friday 29th March, 2024, instead of Saturday, 30th March, 2024.

Local Notice to Mariners No. 20 of 2024 is to be amended accordingly.

All the other information mentioned in Local Notice to Mariners No. 20 of 2024 will remain valid.

Local Notice to Mariners No. 23 of 2024

Amendment to Local Notice to Mariners No. 11 of 2024 regarding Geotechnical Investigation and Structural Testing on Pont tax-Shell in Birżebbuġa

Reference is made to Local Notice to Mariners No 011 of 2024

The Ports and Yachting Directorate, Transport Malta, notifies mariners and owners of vessels that the geotechnical investigation and structural testing on Pont tax-Shell in Birżebbuġa will not be completed within the time as planned. The completion date is therefore being extended until Sunday, 30th June, 2024.

Local Notice to Mariners No. 11 of 2024 is to be amended accordingly.

All the other information mentioned in Local Notice to Mariners No. 11 of 2024 will remain valid.

Local Notice to Mariners No. 24 of 2024

Filming at two localities in northern part of Malta – The Wives

The Ports and Yachting Directorate, Transport Malta, notifies all mariners and the general public that filming activities will take place at two localities in the northern part of Malta.

The filming will take place on Saturday, 6th April, 2024, from 8.00 a.m. till 7.00 p.m., in the following localities:

At Marfa breakwater along the line A to B, as shown in red on the chart A found on Transport Malta website (www.transport.gov.mt);

At Għajn Żejtuna along the line C to D, as shown in red on the chart B found on Transport Malta website (www.transport.gov.mt).

Due to the filming activity, only commercial vessels and the vessel taking part in the filming will be allowed to berth along the indicated berths during the above-mentioned date and times.

If, due to unfavourable weather conditions the filming cannot be held at any of the two mentioned localities it will instead be held at Il-Moll tal-Fekruna, Xemxija. St Paul's Bay, with the same conditions.

Mariners and the general public are to note the above and co-operate with the filming crew on site.

Mariners are also to comply with any instructions given on VHF channel 12 by Valletta VTS and any enforcement personnel on site.
