With reference to Scheme P – Redemption of Ground Rent published in the Government Gazette of 13th August, 1996, the Housing Authority notifies the general public that with immediate effect, this Scheme is being closed.

Subsidy on Adaptation Works Related to Dangerous Structures in Private Dwellings Held on Lease or Emphyteusis prior to 1st June, 1995 – Scheme 2013
With reference to Scheme on Adaptation Works in Related to Dangerous Structures in Private Dwellings Held on Lease or Emphyteusis prior to 1st June, 1995, published in the Government Gazette of the 29th October 2013 the Housing Authority, wishes to effect the following amendments with immediate effect:
1. Sub-Clause (ii) (b) of Clause 5 to read as follows:
(b) the total amount of the grants enjoyed under the adaptation schemes referred to in preceding paragraph shall not exceed the amount of €25,000 as laid down in Clause 11; and/or
2. Sub-Clause (iii) (v) (b) of Clause 5 to read as follows:-
(b) applicants possess capital exceeding €60,000 during the preceding year of the date of application till the approval of the grant of subsidy under this Scheme. These assists do not include the bedroom furniture and cars. These assets might include shares in any commercial body, immovables or shares in immovables in which case their valuation will be at the absolute discretion of the Housing Authority; Assets shall also include assets held by children of the married couple who are underage; and/or
3. Sub-Clause (ii) (a) of Clause 11 to read as follows:-
(a) Subject to what is stated below, an applicant, who qualifies for assistance under this scheme may apply for assistance from the Authority by way of an adaptation cash assistance up to a maximum of €25,000 for the purpose of rendering the private dwelling house of an acceptable standard and without any danger.
4. Sub-Clause (iv) of Clause 11 to read as follows:-
(iv) The adaptation cash grant approved under this Scheme shall not exceed the total reasonable costs of the works to be carried out as approved by the Authority, and in each case shall not exceed the amount of €25,000.

Resignation of Liquidator

It is here being notified that Mr Stefan Cachia of 63, Triq Ħida, San Ġwann, Kappara, Malta, has resigned as the liquidator of 'Koperattiva tal-Barklori Soċjetà Limitata'.
Therefore, order number 8 of 2021 regarding the appointment of liquidator published in Government Gazette Number 20,738 of the 19th November, 2021, is no longer effective for all intents and purposes of law.

The Marsa Local Council notifies the general public that from Thursday, 27th January, 2022 till Sunday, 30th January, 2022, Triq is-Salib tal-Marsa near Holy Trinity Church will be closed for traffic since an event will be held on Saturday, 29th January, 2022. In the enclosure parking is not permitted.
