The President added that despite the vast geographical distance, Malta looks forward to working with Argentina to deepen existing, as well as strengthening new opportunities for bilateral cooperation, particularly in the trade and tourism sectors.  From a broader perspective, President Vella explained that Malta supports the further intensification of relations between Argentina and the European Union as well as closer exchanges between the EU and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
