Business Enhance ERDF Grant Schemes
Expression of Interest for Service Providers

As part of the Business Enhance ERDF Grant Schemes Initiative, the Measures and Support Division within the Ministry for European Funds and Social Dialogue would like to remind Service Providers:

1. A Grant Scheme to address the objectives under Priority Axis 2 ‘Consolidating investment within the ICT sector’ of Operational Programme I Cohesion Policy 2014-2020, namely increasing the number of enterprises conducting online sales.

2. A Grant Scheme under Priority Axis 3 – ‘Enhancing Malta’s Competitiveness through Investment in SMEs’ of Operational Programme I Cohesion Policy 2014-2020 to support enterprises through the provision of external consultancy services to develop studies to assess the potential of future investment and operational interventions.

Service Providers are being invited to submit their application to be included as registered service providers under the Schemes.

Scholarships Offered by the Government of Turkey 2018                                                                                                                               
(for Maltese Citizens only)

The Turkish Government is offering scholarships to Maltese citizens for undergraduate and graduate programmes for the year 2018. These scholarships are offered in various areas including Turkish language, Research, Science and Technology, Health Sciences, Art and Sport. 

Candidates can apply only for one scholarship programme in accordance with their educational background and academic goals.

The scholarship will cover monthly stipend, full tuition fee, free one year Turkish language course, free accommodation, round-trip air ticket, and health insurance.

Most programmes in Turkish universities are instructed in Turkish. However, some departments and universities offer programmes in English, French or Arabic.

Applicants are required to apply online on (www.turkiyeburslari.org) and (www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr). This website also contains a detailed list of departments, universities and frequently asked questions. 

Applicants are to apply also at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs as indicated below. Application forms can be downloaded from the Ministry’s website (https://foreignaffairs.gov.mt/en/Pages/Scholarships.aspx) and should be submitted to the Scholarships Section at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Valletta, from 8.30 a.m. to noon. The following documents should also be submitted:

a) Curriculum Vitae 

b) Copy of a secondary school diploma or document indicating that the candidate is secondary school senior student;

c) Certified secondary school transcript indicating courses taken and relevant grades obtained;

d) MFTP Application Form 

e) Online application form (provided at the Turkish website)

f) Copy of a valid ID card

Applications for the scholarships should be submitted by noon of Monday, 5th March, 2018. Late applications will not be considered.

Successful candidates may be required to enter into a contract to serve the Government or the Private Sector of Malta upon completion.

Applications from Government and Parastatal employees and from the Private Sector will not be considered unless recommended by their Head of Department/Parastatal Organisation/employer respectively.

Whereas Koperattiva Youth Generation Limited which was registered on the 9th October, 2002, ceased functioning and the Co-operatives Board is satisfied that the Society should be wound up in accordance with and for the purposes of the provisions of section 100 (2) of the Co-operative Societies Act No. XXX of 2001, the Co-operatives Board has ordered the said Society to be wound up and has appointed Mr Anatole Baldacchino, FIA, CPA, of 32, Triq il-Maqdes, Birżebbuġa, to be liquidator.

 It is here being notified that Mr Victor Camilleri of 70, Triq l-Għenieqed, Ħ’Attard, has resigned as the liquidator of “Koperattiva Malta Kuba (KMK) Ltd”.
Therefore, order number 11 of 2016 regarding the appointment of liquidator published in Government Gazette Number 19,641 of the 20th September, 2016, is no longer effective for all intents and purposes of law.

MALTA TOURISM AUTHORITY

Award of Direct Orders

In terms of Article 111 (2) of the Public Procurement Regulations 2016 (L.N. 352/2016), the following direct orders were awarded by the Malta Tourism Authority within the Ministry of Tourism:

Development, manufacture and installation of 20 wayfinding signage in Valletta

The Ministry for Finance and for the purposes of the Public Procurement regulations, Subsidiary legislation 174.04 has granted approval to the Malta Tourism Authority within the Ministry for Tourism to place a direct order with Daves Design Group for the development, manufacture and installation of 20 wayfinding signage in Valletta for the maximum sum of €120,000 excluding VAT.

Consultancy Support report in connection with an Economic Impact Assessment of Increased Air Connectivity on growth in Tourism and other business over the period 2007 to 2017.

The Ministry for Finance and for the purposes of the Public Procurement regulations, Subsidiary legislation 174.04 has granted approval to the Malta Tourism Authority within the Ministry for Tourism to enter into a contract for service with E-Cubed for Consultancy Support report in connection with an Economic Impact Assessment of Increased Air Connectivity on growth in Tourism and other business over the period 2007 to 2017 for the sum of €18,500 excluding VAT, covering period of three months, as per proposal dated 27th January, 2018
