    Background:

     

    The Critical Entities Resilience (CER) Directive is an EU regulation adopted in 2022 to enhance the resilience of critical infrastructure against a broad range of risks, including natural disasters, terrorism, cyberattacks, and pandemics. It replaces the older European Critical Infrastructure Directive (2008) and expands its scope.
