Regulator for Energy and Water Services
A grant for the purchase of Systems for Domestic Use that Reduce the Consumption of Energy
In order to further encourage the efficient use of energy in the domestic sector, the Regulator for Energy and Water Services is administering the following national funded scheme which aims to encourage the use of Roof Insulation and Double Glazing systems for domestic use that reduce the consumption of energy.
1. Grant payable under this scheme
Applicants may apply for a grant under this scheme by means of an online form from the Regulator for Energy and Water Services website (www.rews.org.mt) or by means of the form downloadable from the same website. The scheme is administered and governed in terms of the guidelines also downloadable from the website.
Applicants who have received a similar grant shall not be eligible for another grant issued in terms of this Scheme.
2. Duration of the scheme
Applications for this call may be validly received as from the 13th of November, 2023 until the end of year 2023. The scheme may be modified or terminated before that date by means of a notice in the Government Gazette. This scheme may be renewed as may be deemed necessary by the Regulator for Energy and Water Services also by means of a notice in the Government Gazette.
3. Amendments to the scheme
The Regulator for Energy and Water Services shall at all times have the right to make any amendments to this scheme by means of a notice published in the Government Gazette containing such amendments.
SCHEDULE
Grant Percentage and maximum in relation to the retrofitted double glazing: 50% of the total eligible, including VAT, and capped at EUR 1000.
Grant Percentage and maximum in relation to the retrofitted roof insulation: 50% of the total eligible, including VAT, and capped at EUR 1000.

Completion of Road Formation and Traffic and Parking Suspension
In virtue of Article eighteen (18) of Legal Notice 291 of 2018, the Agency for Infrastructure Malta hereby gives official notice of its intention to complete the formation of:
Part of Dawret ix-Xatt, Xgħajra (indicated on site plan on page 13,147).
Part of Triq il-Knisja, Xgħajra (indicated on site plan on page 13,148).
Triq Vivion, Santa Venera (indicated on site plan on page 13,149).
Triq il-Papa Urbanus VIII, Birkirkara (indicated on site plan on page 13,150).
Triq Emanuel Benjamin Vella, Birkirkara (indicated on site plan on page 13,151).

Any person who is obliged by law to form said road (including by acquiring land necessary for the same formation) has fifteen (15) days from the date of the publication of this notice within which to comply with his obligations at law. In default, the Agency for Infrastructure Malta shall itself proceed with the formation of this road in accordance with its powers at law and at the expense of those persons whose obligation it is to form the road.

Vehicular access and on-street parking in this road may be restricted during certain works.
