RELEASE OF LAND 

Declaration by the Lands Authority 

Whereas by the Declaration of the President of Malta of the 26th March, 1975, published in the Government Gazette of the 1st April, 1975, under Government Notice No. 227, the President of Malta had declared that a plot of land was required by the competent Government for a public purpose in accordance with the provisions of the Land Acquisition (Public Purposes) Ordinance (Cap. 88), and whereas this land is no longer so required, I hereby declare for all intents and purposes of law that the land is no longer required by the competent authority for a public purpose and also according to the Government Lands Act (Cap. 573) of the Laws of Malta.

Regulator for Energy and Water Services 

A grant for the purchase of Systems for Domestic Use that Reduce the Consumption of Energy 

In order to further promote the use of systems that reduce the consumption of energy in the domestic sector, the Regulator for Energy and Water Services is administering the following national funded scheme, for the below list of households in Birzebbugia, which aims to encourage the use of double glazing systems for domestic use.

1. Eligible locality:

All households in Birżebbuġa

2. Grant payable under this scheme

Applicants may apply for a grant under this scheme by means of an online form from the Regulator for Energy and Water Services website (www.rews.org.mt) or by means of the form downloadable from the same website.

The scheme is administered and governed in terms of the guidelines also downloadable from the website. Applicants who have received a similar grant shall not be eligible for another grant issued in terms of this Scheme.

3. Duration of the scheme

Applications for this call may be validly received as from the 27th May, 2024 up to the 31st December, 2024. The scheme may be modified or terminated before that date by means of a notice in the Government Gazette. This scheme may be renewed as may be deemed necessary by the Regulator for Energy and Water Services also by means of a notice in the Government Gazette.

4. Amendments to the scheme

The Regulator for Energy and Water Services shall at all times have the right to make any amendments to this scheme by means of a notice published in the Government Gazette containing such amendments.

Grant Percentage and maximum in relation to the double glazing: 90% of the total eligible, including VAT, and capped at €2,000.

AGENCY FOR INFRASTRUCTURE MALTA 

Completion of Road Formation and Traffic and Parking Suspension 

In virtue of Article eighteen (18) of Legal Notice 291 of 2018, the Agency for Infrastructure Malta hereby gives official notice of its intention to complete the formation of:

Misraħ Buleben and Triq Wenzu Despott, Ħal Tarxien (indicated on site plan on page 13,037).

Any person who is obliged by law to form said road (including by acquiring land necessary for the same formation) has fifteen (15) days from the date of the publication of this notice within which to comply with his obligations at law. In default, the Agency for Infrastructure Malta shall itself proceed with the formation of this road in accordance with its powers at law and at the expense of those persons whose obligation it is to form the road.

The Agency for Infrastructure Malta notifies that between 28th May, 2024 and 29th November, 2024, it will be starting road works in Misraħ Buleben and Triq Wenzu Despott, Ħal Tarxien. Vehicular access and on-street parking in this road may be restricted during certain works. 'No parking' signs authorised by Transport Malta will be affixed on site before such parking restrictions come in force.

Vehicles found in contravention to the order of this notice and to the related 'no parking' signs on site are liable to be towed.

SUPERINTENDENCE OF CULTURAL HERITAGE 

National Inventory of the Cultural Property of the Maltese Islands 

The Superintendence of Cultural Heritage is publishing the sites listed hereunder as an addition to the National Inventory, in terms of Article 7(5)(a) and Article 53 of the Cultural Heritage Act (Cap. 445).

In line with Article 59(1) and Article 70, no person shall make any development or intervention to any of these properties without having first obtained a permit from the Superintendent, and no person shall cause damages to any of the properties listed, even if such property is owned by the person, and doing so will constitute an offence punishable by law.
