ENERGY AND WATER AGENCY
National Strategy for Research and Innovation in Energy and Water (2021-2030)
In order to continue with the implementation of the National Strategy for Research and Innovation in Energy and Water (2021-2030), that officially launched on the 17th June, 2020, The Energy and Water Agency, within the Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Public Cleanliness has developed this Scheme by virtue of which financial assistance will be provided for research and innovation (R&I) projects in the field of energy and water, in line with the priority areas of the 2025 Call for Proposals. By means of this Government Notice, it is hereby being notified that a call for applications is being issued under this Initiative.
Applications for this scheme are to be submitted between the 14th July, 2025 and 10th October, 2025. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
Offers of support for Projects under the 2025 Call for Proposals shall be provided to Successful Applicants according to the rank order achieved post evaluation and until the funds are either exhausted or until no Successful Applicants remain. When the requested Grant Value of the next ranking Successful Applicant exceeds the remaining unallocated funds, the scheme shall stop disbursing funds.
Disbursement may resume should one of the successful Applicants, for any reason, decide not to accept the grant offer. The full set of rules applicable for this call are laid down in the Rules for Participation 2025. Potential Applicants are expected to read through and familiarise themselves with the document in question prior to submitting the project proposal.
