FOOD SAFETY AND SECURITY AUTHORITY

The Food Safety and Security Authority (FSSA) notifies that, in exercise of its functions under the Pesticides Control Act (Cap. 430) and pursuant to Regulation 4(3) of the Sustainable Use of Pesticides Regulations (S.L. 430.08), is extending the validity of all Plant Protection Products (PPP) professional user certificates and distributor certificates which have expired or are due to expire on or before 30th September, 2026.

Accordingly, any such PPP professional user certificates or distributor certificates that expire on or before 30th September, 2026, shall be deemed to remain valid until 1st June, 2027.

This administrative extension is being granted as a temporary measure to ensure regulatory continuity and to facilitate the orderly renewal of all certificates.

Certificate holders benefiting from this extension shall continue to comply with all applicable obligations, conditions, restrictions, and safe-use requirements prescribed under the Pesticides Control Act (Cap. 430) and any regulations made thereunder.

This extension shall apply strictly to certificates falling within the above-mentioned period and shall not affect certificates expiring after 30th September, 2026.

Request Period for Land Farmers and Livestock Breeders under Malta's Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan 2023-2027: Registration of new Agricultural Land and Aid Applications

The Agriculture and Rural Payments Agency (ARPA), within the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Supply (MAFF), is accepting applications from those farmers who wish to carry out:

Transfers and land registration for inclusion into land-based aid schemes;

Changes in land use of those areas currently not eligible for funds to now be included as eligible;

Land registration for Eco-Schemes; 

Land registration for Environmental, Climate-related and other Management Commitments (AECCs) under the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027 

Requests for new commitments will only be accepted under AECC 7a, and 7b.

Requests for new commitments under AECC1a, 1b, 1c, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 will not be accepted

For such requests, farmers must present the following documents:

ID card;

Site plans of fields;

In case the person making the request is doing so on behalf of a third party, a power of attorney document provided by a notary is required, along with the ID of the representative;

Will (in case of transfer by inheritance).

Requests will be received from the 6th of July, 2026 to September 18th, 2026, in the following offices

Front Office ARPA: Pitkali Markets, Ta' Qali, Limits of Ħ'Attard, from Monday to Friday between 7.00 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.; or

TREASURY NOTICE 

Redemption of the 3.55% Malta Government Stock 2026 V 

Pursuant to and for the purpose of paragraph 6 of the Offering Circular published in the Government Gazette of 30 June 2023 under Notice No. 901, the Treasury hereby gives notice that all of the 3.55% Malta Government Stock 2026 V that is, €175,564,200 nominal will be redeemed at par on 8th July, 2026.

The final interest payment covering the period from 8th January, 2026 to 7th July, 2026 (both days inclusive) will be payable on the 8th July, 2026 at the rate of 1.775% to all the persons registered as holders in the Register of the Malta Stock Exchange on 16th June, 2026.

The principal will be repaid on 8th July, 2026 to all the persons registered as holders in the Register of the Malta Stock Exchange on the 16th June, 2026.

TRANSPORT MALTA 

Notice to Owners of Vehicles Removed from the Road 

 In accordance with the Clamping and Removal of Motor Vehicles and Encumbering Objects Regulations SL.65.13, Transport Malta is hereby publishing a list of vehicles that were removed from the road for being in breach of the Motor Vehicles Registration and Licensing Act (Cap. 368) and the Registration and Licensing of Motor Vehicles Regulations S.L. 368.02 and which have not been retrieved by their lawful owners.

The list includes a description of the removed motor vehicle. The vehicles are currently being stored at Transport Malta's compound.

Respective owners are to retrieve their motor vehicle from Transport Malta upon submission of proof of ownership and upon payment of the applicable registration tax, licences, contraventions and other administration fees that may be due.

Vehicles which are not retrieved and for which any applicable registration tax, licences, contraventions and other fees are not paid by 3rd July, 2026, will be auctioned and, if not sold, will be destroyed.

In terms of regulation 5(4) of the Control of Concentrations Regulations 2002, published in Legal Notice 294 of 2002, the Director General of the Office for Competition notifies for general information that a notification of a concentration between Meat Acquico Germany II GmbH (Bonn, Germany) and VION Food Service Holding GmbH (Nordring, Großostheim) was filed on Thursday, 25th June, 2026.

The nature of the concentration is the acquisition of VION Food Service Holding GmbH by Meat Acquico Germany II GmbH.

Meat Acquico Germany II GmbH is a holding company and member of the Group of Butchers group, which is primarily focused on the retail distribution channel. Its product range includes private label meats, smoked and bbq sausages, soups, meals, and salads, spreads and dips for the retail and out-of-home markets.

VION Food Service Holding GmbH and its direct and indirect subsidiaries operate the group's food service business (trading as 'Salomon FoodWorld') comprising of the design, production and supply of frozen meat and veggie/vegan food products to the out-of-home food service sector.

Towing of a Vehicle

The Marsaskala Local Council notifies that a grey vehicle of type Renault Megane (convertible) without a registration number and without a licence, which was parked in Qasam Tal-Bujar, was towed by the Marsaskala Local Council on the 26th of June, 2026, and taken to Ta' Robba Recycling Plant, Ħal Kirkop, after being notified for 8 days as in virtue of Section 8A of Legal Notice 94 of 1977 as amended by Legal Notice 123 of 2001 and Subsidiary Legislation 65.13 (Traffic Regulations regarding Clamping and Removal of Encumbering Objects).

If the owner of the said vehicle does not show up within the stipulated timeframe according to law, the said vehicle will be scrapped.
