Deputy Speaker Claudette
Buttigieg, has received Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway Margit F. Tveiten
on a courtesy call.
After welcoming the new Norwegian
Ambassador, the Deputy Speaker referred to the excellent relations that exist
between Malta and Norway, ever since the establishment of diplomatic relations
on 7th February 1969.
The Deputy Speaker elaborated on
the modus operandi of the Maltese parliament as well as on the economic
and social situation in Malta. She also mentioned the role of youths and
non-governmental organisations.
The two dignitaries spoke about
issues of mutual interest such as domestic violence, migration, education and
energy.​
