High Commissioner of the Republic of The Gambia Mr Habib Saihou Drammeh presented his Letters of Commission to the President at Sant’Anton Palace, Attard.
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the High Commissioner discussed bilateral ties, relations between The Gambia and the European Union, and both countries’ activities in the Commonwealth. The role that The Gambia plays in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) was also discussed.
Later in the afternoon, the President and Mrs Vella hosted the newly-accredited Ambassadors and High Commissioners to an official luncheon at Sant’Anton Palace.
