PRESS RELEASE BY THE PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARIAT for Active Ageing and Persons with Disability Sanondaf will be fumigating the outer areas of all elderly care homes voluntarily

Sanondaf is disinfecting by voluntarily fumigating the outer areas of all elderly residences. This was announced today by Parliamentary Secretary for Active Ageing and Persons with Disability Silvio Parnis. This company has already fumigated the outer areas of the St Joseph Residence and, in the coming days and in coordination with those concerned,  it will be fumigating the outer areas of all the other elderly care homes.

Parliamentary Secretary Parnis praised this company for the noble gesture in these difficult times. He said that, “These are testing times for all of us. This is our moment to show how much we love and care for one another.” The Parliamentary Secretary said that this gesture will continue protecting the elderly living in these care homes. This initiative, together with the measures implemented by the government in these past weeks, have led to the results that we are seeing today. He concluded by thanking the company, and all those working in the elderly sector, for the exceptional work that they are doing.

The managing director of the company, Jason Degiorgio, said that Sanondaf is a Maltese-based company that specialises in touchless disinfection services, which has managed to branch out into international territories over the past couple of years and has established itself as a market leader in the decontamination industry. As a voluntary act to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Malta, Sanondaf, together with the Parliamentary Secretariat for Active Ageing and Persons with Disability, has offered its disinfection services to disinfect the areas surrounding elderly homes, to protect and ensure the safety of Malta’s elderly during these challenging times.
