The Ambassador of the Republic of Poland Tomasz Czyszek presented his
letters of credence to President George Vella at Sant’Anton Palace, Attard.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Czyszek elaborated upon his plans to further enhance political and
commercial exchanges between the two countries.
President Vella recalled his two visits to
Poland since taking office and referred in particular to the existing potential
in the education sector. He mentioned the exchanges at university level, for
academic staff and students alike through EU-wide frameworks such as Erasmus.
President Vella and Ambassador Czyszek also
discussed issues of regional and international importance such as Brexit, the
European Union budget and migration.
