The Treasury Department announces the results of the Malta Government Stock issue of February 2024. The Treasury received a total nominal amount of just under €511 million from both retail and wholesale investors against the authorised sum on issue of €270 million subject to an over-allotment option for an additional amount of up to a maximum of €130 million.
Subscriptions by Retail Investors
By the closing date at 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday 21st February 2024, the total value of applications received from retail investors in the two Malta Government Stocks amounted to a nominal value of just under €108 million. These applications which were made under the non-competitive part of the issuance at pre-announced fixed price for each stock have been accepted in full.
The details of allotment in each stock will be published through a Press Release and uploaded on the Treasury's website after the completion of the vetting of applications for compliance with the terms of the General Prospectus and the Offering Circular.
The Treasury shall exercise the right to increase the authorised sum on issue of €270 million pursuant to Article 9 of the Offering Circular published on the 9th of February 2024.
To this effect, the Treasury shall allocate the bids received at the auction as follows:

By the closing date at noon on Friday the 23rd of February 2024, the Treasury received 70 bids from wholesale investors in the two stocks having a total nominal value of €402.9 million which have been allocated as follows:
