In accordance with the Food Safety Act and Regulation (EC) No. 178 of 2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council, the Environmental Health Directorate within the Superintendence of Public Health wishes to inform the public that following information received through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed, the following product must not be consumed in view of elevated levels of Mineral Oil Components (MOSH and MOAH) found in the product itself and also in the packaging.
Mineral Oil Aromatic Hydrocarbons (MOAH) and Mineral Oil Saturated Hydrocarbons (MOSH) are environmental contaminants that may end up in food during food production, from additives or migration from food contact materials and may be carcinogenic (https://www.efsa.europa.eu/en/topics/topic/mineral-oil-hydrocarbons).
