In accordance with the Food Safety Act and Regulation (EC) No. 178 of 2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council, the Food Safety and Security Authority wishes to inform the public that following information received through the Rapid Alert for Food and Feed, the following food contact material must not be used due to migration of high levels of barium, cobalt, lead, manganese, and nickel when in contact with food.
High levels of said metals exceeding safe limits pose an unacceptable risk to consumer health.
