In accordance with Chapter 649 of the Food Safety and Security Act, and in line with the Authority's role to ensure transparency and public awareness on matters relating to food safety and security, the Authority hereby informs the public that the following analysis of samples elevated during official controls by the Food Safety and Security Authority, the following product may contain elevated levels of Hydrocyanic acid.

Hydrocyanic acid is explicitly included in the list of contaminants in the Food Contaminants Regulation (EU) (No 2023/915) for which maximum levels are established in foodstuffs to safeguard consumer health.
