In accordance with Chapter 649 of the Food Safety and Security Authority Act, and in line with the Authority's role to ensure transparency and public awareness on matters relating to food safety and security, the Authority hereby informs the public of the following information received through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).
The public is advised not to use the food contact material (Chopsticks) identified below, due to the potential migration of formaldehyde and melamine.
The levels detected exceed the permitted limits and therefore present a significant and unacceptable risk to consumer health.
