In relation to PR260134en issued on 27th January 2026 and in accordance with Chapter 649 of the Food Safety and Security Act, and in line with the Authority’s role to ensure transparency and public awareness on matters relating to food safety and security, the Authority, hereby informs the public of information received through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF). The product must not be used due to migration of high levels of lead and cadmium when in contact with food.
High levels of said metals exceeding safe limits pose an unacceptable risk to consumer health.
