An event marking the conclusion of the “Life Skills Lab" programme, organised by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ throughout the summer, was held at the Agency's premises in Santa Venera. Youths aged between 11 and 16 who participated in the programme were given the opportunity to showcase the projects they worked on, as well as the experiences and skills they gained throughout the programme.
The activities offered to the young participants, which take place outside the framework of formal education, are aimed at supporting their personal, social and educational development.
The Life Skills Lab Programme represents a direct contribution towards the implementation of the National Youth Policy Towards 2030, particularly through its focus on the wellbeing of the younger generation, inclusion, personal development, lifelong learning and opportunities for high-quality non-formal education.
During the event, the Minister for Youth, Wellbeing and the Implementation of the Electoral Programme, Omar Farrugia, presented participants with their certificates of participation in the programme.
In his address, Minister Farrugia said that “Life Skills Lab was an initiative for youths which provided them with the opportunity to discover new talents, new friends, new opportunities and new initiatives. The outcome of programmes such as this is our greatest satisfaction, as we see young people continuing to move forward and build their future."
Meanwhile, Aġenzija Żgħażagħ Chief Executive Jason Zammit said that the event was a celebration of youth, during which a number of young people who participated in Aġenzija Żgħażagħ programmes showcased their skills — skills they acquired and which they will continue to use throughout their lives.
