In accordance with Chapter 649 of the Food Safety and Security Authority Act, and in line with the Authority's role to ensure transparency and public awareness on matters relating to food safety and security, the Authority hereby informs the public of the following information received through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF). This product contains creatine malate which is a novel food, that is not authorised.
Novel Food is a foodstuff or food ingredient that was not used for human consumption to a significant degree within the European Union before 15 May 1997 and therefore require careful evaluation and authorisation before they can enter the EU market.
