H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, has left Malta to participate in the 21st Meeting of the Arraiolos Group, which will take place on 15 and 16 October 2026 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

This year's meeting will be hosted by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, and will bring together Presidents of European Union Member States who hold non-executive roles.

Discussions will focus on the security and resilience of the European Union, its role on the international stage, multilateralism, and the future of international institutions.

The Arraiolos Group is an informal forum established in 2003. Its meetings provide participating Presidents with an opportunity for an open exchange of views on European and international issues of common interest.​​

Dr Helena Dalli will serve as Acting President.
