Community Nursing & Midwifery
After the birth of your baby, a nurse or midwife will be on-hand to visit you in your home and guide you on the right care for your new arrival.
Meanwhile, about six weeks after the birth, you will be advised to make an appointment with your GP. He or she will be able to give you a thorough check up to see how your body is healing, as well as to see how you are coping. This is a good time to ask any questions that you may have, as well as to discuss how you are feeling, especially if you are tired, low or depressed.
