Background
The second National Drug Policy for Malta will cover the period 2023 - 2033 and is a result of a review of the previous policy. It is a means to bring the National Drug Policy in line with new developments and a better understanding of the recent trends of the drug situation in Malta, and the responses in place to tackle such. Moreover, the policy has been structured in such a way to provide for a better mechanism through which the supply and demand for drugs are reduced appropriately in the best interest of society.
