Maltese society has begun a discussion on assisted voluntary euthanasia and how we can respect a person’s dignity and autonomy in cases of terminal illness. A document has been published outlining principles and safeguards that will serve as the basis for this public consultation, where everyone’s views — including those of stakeholders and experts — are important. Therefore, you are invited to put forward your thoughts and contributions. The public consultation will remain open for eight weeks and is intended to be a respectful discussion, where we listen to each another with open hearts and minds.
